What Might My Flowers
Look Like in 50 Years?
When preserving natural, organic
flowers, there is no way that
will totally eliminate the
natural fading process. Below
is a framed pressed flower
arrangement that is over 50
years old, which the artist
acquired from an estate sale.
As you can see, the flowers have
held up well but have turned
various shades of yellow and
brown (antiqued). They still
retain their dark and light
shades which preserve the beauty
of the artistic arrangement.
Please keep in mind that white
flowers are the quickest to fade
to an antiqued yellow, so when
you select your fabric you
should consider how they will
look against the fabric in
future years. |
