Commissioned Works Agreement Artist accepts many types of artistic and calligraphic commissions after discussion of project with the client by e-mail or by phone. Price quotations are given once exact nature of the work is determined. Additional costs may be incurred if client's initial requests change during the production of the work. In some cases, artist may require a written contract and/or deposit and acceptance agreement. All works, whether by contract or electronic/verbal agreement, shall be completed in a professional manner with every reasonable effort made to please the client. Artist retains copyright of any commissioned work and may, at her discretion, make prints of any type of commissioned artwork for further sales purposes, and may use electronic or other reproductions of those images for advertising and promoting her work. If client is commissioning artwork for his/her own intentions of reproduction (ex. for a business card, logo, housing promotion, etc.); this fact is to be made known to the artist prior to reproduction. Artist will then let client know what the guidelines or additional costs (if applicable) are for the client to be able to reproduce her artwork. The copyright law states that any original work created by an artist is automatically protected under copyright laws from the time of its creation. If artist believes there to be a copyright infringement issue regarding any photo or working reference which will be supplied by client, she will discuss this with her client upon presentation of request for custom artwork or calligraphy. |
